Sharon Gail Powers, 58, of Eubank, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
She was born December 16, 1966 to Virgil and Rita (New) Godbey in Somerset, Kentucky. She graduated from Pulaski County High School. Sharon married her husband, Gary Powers on November 15, 1985 and together they had two sons. She worked as the General Manager of Hardee's in Science Hill for over twenty years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially going on yearly vacations to Panama City Beach. That was what she looked forward to every year. But the most important thing in her life was her grandchildren, whom she loved so much.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Powers; her two sons, Nathan & (Shellbie) Powers and Cody Powers; two grandchildren, Addison and Keaton Powers; her brother, Kevin & (Teresa) Godbey; several nieces, nephews, friends, and co-workers who will miss her very much.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rita Kay (New) Godbey; her brother, Ronald Godbey; her father-in-law, Walton Calvin Powers; her mother-in-law, Irene Powers; and both maternal and paternal grandparents.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home.
Burial will be at Science Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for services.
