ASHLEY - Sharon Kay Reinoehl, 81, of Ashley, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024, at her home.
She was born on March 20, 1943, the daughter of Carl and Lorraine (Likens) Rinehold, formerly of Waterloo, Indiana.
She graduated from Ashley High School in 1961, and International Business College in 1963.
On Nov. 30, 1963, she married Max E. Reinoehl, at Evangelical United Brethren Church in Waterloo. They celebrated 60 years of marriage last November.
Sharon's working career included Indiana & Michigan Power Company and 16 years at Walmart in Angola. She was a stay at home mom while Max was in the Army Reserves. In retirement, Max and Sharon would spend winters in Texas and Florida.
Sharon was an active member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Hudson, Indiana, and was a 58-year member of the Rolling Pins Home Demonstration Club in DeKalb County.
Sharon was a devoted wife and mother with strong Christian values. She was a detail-oriented person in her work and home projects. She was a wonderful cook and a great seamstress. She raised her three children with love, instilling a work ethic and to always be kind and humble people.
Survivors include her husband, Max; two sons, Todd Reinoehl, of Granger, Indiana, and Troy (Lara) Reinoehl, of Pine, Colorado; five grandchildren, Jamie (Ryan) Grate, of Corunna, Kody (Carmen) Gilbert, of Odessa, Texas, Kendall Gilbert, of Newville, Indiana, Sydney Reinoehl, of Pine, Colorado, and Kyla Reinoehl, of Pine, Colorado; six great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Jean Rinehold and family and Judy Ditmars and family; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter and son in law, Tammy and Steve Gilbert, two brothers, Dale Rinehold and Roger Rinehold and a brother in law, Richard Ditmars.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., on Friday Aug. 9, 2024, at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo, IN 46793.
Calling is three hours prior to the service on Friday, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
Burial will follow the service at Fairfield Cemetery, Corunna.
