Sharon Richardson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel on Mar. 30, 2026.
Sharon Darleene Richardson, 75, of Marion, passed away on March 28, 2026, at the Meadows of Marion. She was born on April 3, 1950, in Columbus to Edward and Margaret (Stidam) Bright. On August 5, 1975, Sharon married Carter Wayne Richardson, and together they shared a loving and devoted marriage until his passing in 1997.

Sharon was a graduate of Richwood High School, Class of 1968. She later worked on the assembly line at Gilson Comp in Lewis Center. A woman of deep faith, Sharon cherished her role as a minister's wife and found great joy in serving the Lord. She was a faithful member of the Solid Foundation Pentecostal Church in Marion, Ohio. Her faith was central to her life and her family. She was actively involved in praise and worship, taught Sunday School, participated in fundraising efforts, and enjoyed relaxing with a good comedy on television.

Sharon is survived by her children, Gene (Catherine) Ray, Gerald and Lynn Richardson, and Jacqueline (Brian) McBee; her grandchildren, Cody (Jaime) Call, Jennifer Lynn Richardson, Angel Ray, Dakota Howard, Nikki Howard, and Tabbitha Hall; numerous great-grandchildren; her brothers, Jack Stidman and Jerry Bright; her sister, Debbie Bright; and several nieces and nephews, including Chris and Christal Richardson and Shawn, Daryl, Kellie, and Karla Bright.

In addition to her husband and parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, Eddie Bright Jr.; her sister-in-law, Lana Stidman; and her nephew, Darren Bright.

A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, April 10, 2026, with Grover Caudill of State Street Community Church officiating. Following the graveside, the family would like to extend an invitation the American Legion in Marengo for a time of food, fellowship and honoring Sharon's life.

The Snyder Funeral Homes, DeVore Chapel, is honored to serve the family.
