Sharon I. (Russell) Tyyska

Tyyska, Sharon I. (Russell) - Age 84, of Goodrich, passed away on November 21, 2025. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 26, 2025 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center located at 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc, Michigan 48507. Pastor Nick Berlanga officiating. The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. Sharon was born December 15, 1940 in Snover, Michigan on the family farm, the daughter of the late Everett and Marie (Ronald) Russell and went on to receive her bachelor's degree from Central Michigan University and her master's degree from the University of Michigan. Sharon married Roger Tyyska on November 23, 1963 in Marlette, Michigan and soon after began her career as a 2nd grade teacher for the Grand Blanc School System in addition to being a founder of the Children's Garden. Sharon was an accomplished Clarinetist, performing with the Flint Concert Band and the Flint Symphonic Wind Ensemble. She enjoyed volunteering at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital and Sharon cherished the time that she spent with her family and friends.

She will be missed by her devoted husband of nearly 62 years, Roger. Daughters, Laura Ann (Lalu) Tyyska-Fahrudin and Susan Marie (Mitchell) Ebbs. Loving grandchildren, Joseph and Nicholas Ebbs. Brother, William (Sandy) Russell. Nieces, Jennie (Carter) Dunham, Becky (Scott) Trimmer and Debbie (Justin) Plourde.
