Sharon Samuelson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cartmell-Davis Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc. - Main Office on Jun. 22, 2025.
Sharon A. Samuelson, age 77, a longtime resident of Plymouth, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, June 19th, following a short but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was the devoted wife of the late Robert "Tom" Thomas Samuelson.
Loving mother of Thomas Samuelson of Moss Landing, CA; Sherer Minor and her husband Walter of East Taunton; and the late Robert "Bob" Samuelson. Cherished grandmother of Hollis Samuelson and Alex Lupica. She is also survived by her beloved "sister" Joanie Jones.
Born in Attleboro on October 9, 1947, Sharon was the daughter of the late Stewart Webb and Barbara (Boynton) Jones. She grew up in Mansfield and was a graduate of Plymouth-Carver High School. Sharon and Tom made their home in Plymouth for 58 years, where they lovingly raised their family.
She was deeply devoted to the children of the community, working for many years as a school bus driver for the Town of Plymouth. After retirement, she continued her service by driving for the GATRA for the Council on Aging.
Sharon had a passion for travel, especially journeys out West. She and Tom explored the famed Route 66 multiple times, embracing the open road and the beauty of America. When not traveling, they could often be found riding motorcycles together, or at home where Sharon enjoyed tending her garden.
During her final month, Sharon was lovingly cared for 24/7 by her son Tom, who worked closely with hospice to ensure her comfort and dignity. Her "sister" Joanie arrived just in time, as if guided by intuition, to offer invaluable support and love. While the family is heartbroken by her loss, they are grateful that she was able to pass peacefully at home, as was her wish.
"Mom, thank you for everything. Tell Dad and Bob we love them, and we will see you later. We love you."
Look around for butterflies-they're a sign from Sharon.
A graveside service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne, on Monday, June 30th at 9:30 AM.
