Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend, Sharon Schramm (née Slover) passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, June 15, 2025, surrounded in love by her family. Sharon was born in Cleveland, Ohio on December 10, 1963 to Samuel and Ruth Slover.
Sharon will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her husband of 46 years, Robert; children: William Bailey of New London, OH, Christopher (Christine) Franklin of Lagrange, OH, Melissa (James) Hunt of New London, OH, Robert (April) Schramm of Wellington, OH, David (Christina) Schramm of New London, OH, and Gregory (Sara) Schramm of Wellington, OH; grandchildren: Andrea (Elijah), Brenden, Elizabeth, Austin (Emily), Taylor, Bianca, William, Zachary, Alexis, Garrett, Ethan, Carly, Olivia, Alexander, Cash, Blaze, Robert, Leland, and Lauren; three great grandsons: Emmanuel, Elliot, and Emmit; siblings: Brenda, Beverly, Debra, and Randolph; special kids that she held dear to her heart: Velma (Justin), Sara (Joe), and Shawn (Aimee), Scott (Katharine), and Terry (Melody); her aunt: Elizabeth Adams, Sheila and George (Chuck) Devendorf; her bonus siblings, Hucky, Lisa, Scott, and Nicholas; and numerous other family members and friends.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Ruth; brothers, Glen, Bobby, Andrew, and Ronnie; her mother and father-in-law's Clyde, Patricia, and Ronald; grandson Christopher, granddaughter Baby, and her nephew William.
Sharon was the matriarch of her family. She spent her life as her family's secret keeper, with an open door policy for anyone who needed a seat at her table and a listening ear to anyone who wanted to talk. Sharon was a mother and prayer warrior to all who needed her. She fed empty mouths, filled empty hearts with love, and spread light wherever she went. Sharon enjoyed the little things in life, including drinking coffee and talking at her kitchen table, traveling, doing yard work, telling stories about her fondest memories, laughing until she cried, hot summer days spent on her porch, and cooking Thanksgiving dinner each year at her home. Most of all, she loved her family and seeing them all together. Sharon was a devoted Christian, finding hope in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life. She was known to share the word of God and His promises to all who would listen.
A Visitation Service will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. at Norton Eastman Funeral Home, 370 S. Main Street, Wellington, OH, 44090.
