Sharon "Sheri" A. Schacht, 74, of Armstrong Creek, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 21, 2025. She was born on July 12, 1951 to John E. and Dorothy (Van Vonderen) Collins in De Pere.

Sheri graduated from East De Pere High School in 1969. After graduating, she continued her education at the School of Cosmetology and worked as a Beautician for 10 years. Sheri's greatest pride was her role as a Police Dispatcher for Brown County and the City of Green Bay for over 25 years. After her retirement, Sheri moved up north with her special friend, Ron, to enjoy the outdoors.

Sheri's greatest love in life was her family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, and baking sweets for them to enjoy. She especially loved being with her great-granddaughter, Luna. She enjoyed time out on the lake fishing with her partner, Ron. Sheri and Ron went on many adventures together, including special trips to Florida, Mexico, Mackinac Island, and Door County. In her free time, Sheri loved going to the casinos around the area.

Sheri is survived by her loving daughter, Tammy (Chad Steffens) Schacht; her granddaughter, Brandi (Travis Gagnon) Ferron; great-granddaughter, Luna; her special friend, Ron Matuszewski and his family; her brothers: Dennis (Barb) Collins and Bob (Marcia) Collins; and her close friend, Nancy Sommers; Sheri is further survived by many nieces, nephews and other loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Collins and her father, John E. (June) Collins.

Sheri's family would like to thank the Goodman EMTs, The Forest County Police Department, Dickinson County ICU, and Aurora BayCare ICU for all of their compassionate care and support.

Visitation will take place on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (340 S. Monroe Ave, Green Bay, WI 54301). A Memorial Service will take place immediately following at 5:00 PM.
