Sharon Ann Steinbach

Sharon Ann Steinbach, age 81, a resident of Carillon Lakes in Crest Hill, IL, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2024 at her home, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on August 12, 1943 in Chicago, IL.
Sharon was the caring wife of Fred Steinbach; the loving mother of Robert Steinbach, Steven (Barbara) Steinbach, Melissa (Paul) Mayer, and Mark (Lydia) Steinbach; the adoring grandmother of Greggory Steinbach, Rebecca Steinbach, Ryan Steinbach, Jessica Steinbach, Tom Steinbach, Sam Steinbach, Ashley Mayer, Jessica Mayer, Isabel Steinbach, Jonathan Steinbach and many great-grandchildren; devoted sister to the "core", Carol (the late William) Kempf, Joe (Carol) Borst, Roberta (Robert Barlow) Borst, Mary (Peter) Mavrogenes. She will be missed by her many loving nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins and friends, whose lives were all touched by her devotion to family with her inspiring spirit and open heart. Sharon was a doting and perfect dog-mom to Molley. She delighted in the many card games she took part in around her community. Sharon touched many through her years of work and parish service. Her legacy to those who were enriched by her presence is a life guided by her faith and family. She will be greatly missed.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 4:00-8:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, corner of Routes 30 & 59, Plainfield. All are invited to gather for the Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, October 5, 10:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2500 Arbeiter Rd., Joliet. A private family inurnment will be at Maryhill Cemetery, Niles, IL at a later date.
