Sharon Stirling (Barzda), age 68, passed away suddenly at her home in St. Joseph, Michigan on August 4th, 2025. She was born on September 26, 1956, in Hammond, Indiana.

Sharon grew up in Lansing, Illinois, then moved to Indiana. She eventually moved to St. Joseph, Michigan where she fell in love with the area after visiting there often.

She worked at various office jobs throughout the years, eventually obtaining her BA in Accounting. Sharon had no children of her own but loved her nephews and nieces as her own. Her dogs were her children throughout the years.

She loved crafting with glass bottles, beads, and all types of glassware, which she enjoyed selling at wineries and local craft shows.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Jerome (1972) and Clara (2001) Barzda, and her niece Tamara Snell (2019).

She is survived by her loving sisters Darlene (David) Snell of Florida, Michelle (Dan) Belmore of Illinois, and her brother Walter (Barbara) Banasiak of Florida. She will be missed dearly by her loving nieces Melissa Lewis, Samantha Ilic, Jamie (Cliff) Steele, Rebecca (Ryan) Frost, and her nephews Donald (JoAnn) Belmore and Keith (Gina) Banasiak.

Sharon had many wonderful friends and neighbors who helped her throughout the years. Her family sends their gratitude to Jen and Chad Cole, along with Sue and Virgil Cimila.

May she get together with her departed best friend Julie Rice to share Cheeseburgers in Paradise in Eternity. We love you Sharon and until we all meet again...

A Celebration of Life for Sharon may be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan, humanesocietyswm.org
