Sharon J. Strobel, 84, passed away on Monday, July 17, 2023, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City. She was born on February 5, 1939, in Tell City, IN, to the late Harry and Mildred (Elder) Feix.
Sharon was a 1957 graduate of Tell City High School. She was united in marriage to Leo Strobel on September 21, 1963, and they shared 59 wonderful years together. She worked in the unemployment office for the State of Indiana. Sharon was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and the Spencer County Homemakers Club. She enjoyed IU basketball, arts and crafts, sewing, cross-stitch, reading, and crossword puzzles. Sharon was an avid QVC shopper, and she loved beagles.
Surviving is her husband, Leo Strobel; sons, Jeff (Crystal) Strobel of Evanston, and Jon (Rhonda) Strobel of Cannelton; brother Doug (Mary Lou) Feix of Ohio; 3 grandchildren, Cortni (Brandan) Cross, Kaitlyn Strobel, and Jillian Strobel; and 3 great-grandchildren, Deacon, Cohen, and Banks Cross.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Funeral Services will be held at 10am on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3pm to 7pm on Thursday, July 20, 2023, and from 9am to 10am on Friday, July 21, 2023, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home in Tell City, IN.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
