Sharon McGee Suttle went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 24th, 2025.

A memorial service to celebrate Sharon's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Prairie Hill Baptist Church in Prairie Hill, Texas. Visitation for friends and family will begin at 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 6, with the rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home in Waco, Texas.

She was born in Oregon to Raymond and Mary McGee in August 1950. She met and fell in love with Gary Suttle and they married in 1969. To this union two daughters were born, Stephanie and Mary.

Sharon went to nursing school immediately after graduating high school. She worked at the Prairie Hill nursing home and the Mexia hospital. She especially loved working with the newborns in the nursery. When she had her own babies she wanted to be a stay-at-home mother. After her girls started school she returned to the workforce, this time as a window clerk for the post office. She worked at the Prairie Hill post office and as a "floater" filling in at various central Texas post offices as need arose.

Sharon loved to travel, especially in the Western United States. She had an encyclopedic knowledge of music. She loved playing trivia games, cards and board games with her family and friends. She was a voracious reader and passed on her love of reading to her two girls.

She touched the lives of every person she came into contact with. She was a mother-figure and a best friend to many. She enjoyed keeping up with all her family and friends, even as her health declined and traveling became difficult. She loved sending greeting cards and considered that as part of her "ministry." She had a beautiful smile, an infectious laugh and quick wit.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, as well as three sisters, and one brother.

Left behind to mourn her are her daughters, two sisters, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and her sister and brother-in-law. Meeting her at the rainbow bridge will be her four fur-babies.

Although Sharon was not able to donate any of her organs at the time of her passing, her family will be donating her pacemaker to a veterinary school. Her pacemaker will help extend the life of a dog in need of a pacemaker.
