Sharon Townsend Obituary
A lifelong resident of North Carolina, Sharon moved to Signal Mountain, TN in 2006 to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren. She will be remembered by many for her tireless volunteerism in church and her daughters' school classrooms. Sharon was a quiet facilitator of cultural activities and extra-curricular educational opportunities for youth in her community. In her later years, Sharon, a former primary school teacher, enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, crafts, and her pets.
A private interment will be held. Remembrances may be made in the form of contributions to Hearth Hospice of Chattanooga, or the McKamey Animal Shelter of Chattanooga.
