It is with profound respect and deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Sharon Rose Vernon, a radiant soul whose life was a testament to love, faith, and unwavering devotion. Born on June 15, 1955, Sharon departed this life on March 30, 2026, leaving behind a legacy marked by her outgoing spirit, brilliant character, and a love that touched all who had the privilege to know her.
Sharon was truly legendary in the way she expressed love—unreserved, heartfelt, and constant. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence; a devoted soldier for the Lord, she found joy and strength within the church community. Her commitment to her spiritual path was as inspiring as it was steadfast, and she loved the church with all her heart.
Beyond her spiritual dedication, Sharon was the beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend whose warmth and generosity enriched countless lives. Her family was the center of her world, and through the years, she nurtured these bonds with immeasurable love and care.
The final farewell to this extraordinary woman will take place with a Viewing on April 10, 2026, from 12:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. This will be an opportunity for all to pay respects and honor the remarkable impact Sharon made in her lifetime.
Her Funeral Service will be held on April 11, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at the Dallas West Church of Christ, situated at 3510 North Hampton Road, Dallas, TX 75212. Friends, family, and community members are invited to join in commemorating her life and the enduring legacy she leaves behind.
Sharon Rose Vernon’s presence was a beacon of love and light, a true embodiment of faith and kindness. Though we must now bid her farewell, her spirit continues to inspire and uplift. May her memory be a blessing, and may all who knew her find comfort in the enduring love she so generously gave.
Rest in peace, Sharon, a cherished soul and devoted servant of the Lord. Your journey here has ended, but your light will forever shine in our hearts.
