Sharon Ann Vierrether, 67, of Cedar Island, North Carolina, passed away at her home on Thursday, May 29, 2025.
A memorial service to honor Sharon’s life will be held at a later date.
Born on August 27, 1957, in Portsmouth, Virginia, Sharon was the daughter of the late Thelbert and Etta Etheridge. She spent her early years in Elizabeth City, NC, before moving to the beautiful Crystal Coast in 2015.
Sharon's creativity was seen through her beautiful crocheting and her passion for decorating during the holidays. An accomplished cook, she enjoyed preparing meals for family and friends. She loved gardening and loved getting lost in a good book.
More than anything, Sharon loved her family. Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughters, Shelia Robinson (Dale) of Ocracoke, NC, Bridget Kurian of Cedar Island, NC, and Theresa Vierrether of Virginia Beach, VA; son, John Kurian of Topsail Island, NC; grandchildren, Dale Alan Robinson Jr., Kyle Robinson, Danielle Page Raper Hill, Kayla Butler, Miranda Knight, Cheyanne Robinson, Niphera Kurian, Myzeck Kurian, Persephone Kurian “Lil’ Punkin”, Ariel Marie Robertson, Tony Robertson, Cierra Garrett, Rylie Stuhm, and Steven McMillion; and 15 precious great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her brothers, David Gibbs, Ray Etheridge, Frankie Etheridge, and Terry Etheridge.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family to help with her final expenses.
