The exuberant Sharon Ann Wise, 79, born April 3rd, 1945, at the Jones Hospital in Hillsboro, OR, passed on December 2nd, 2024. Her passing occurred approximately 50 ft. from her place of birth. Now known as the Tuality/OHSU Medical Center. S
She is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Thelma Pritchard.
She is survived by her dedicated, supportive and loving husband Bill Wise, sons Peter and Jonathan, grandchildren Kassandra, Amber, Willam Blake and great-grandson Beau.
She was educated at Cornelius grade schools, Hil Hi and Forest Grove High Schools, graduating in 1963 from Scappoose High School. She took courses at the Western Culinary Institute - feeding her passion for the kitchen, baking and beyond.
She worked at Sawyer View Master when she had her first son Peter and became a homemaker. After Jonathan's arrival she worked at Gold's Nursery and then Farmington View, when it was its own district. She spent years there, gleening local crops and working with local food banks. After a particular time with the principal, she joined Hillsboro High School as a baker and was the lead for 20 years. Her Demi loafs and cinnamon rolls became a Hillsboro legacy. Knee replacements ultimately led to her retirement.
Early enjoyment was spent horseback where she was involved with more than a few clubs. Excelling at barrels and enjoying trail riding with her transistor radio occupied a great deal of her youth. Mid-life she went above and beyond with the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets, earing awards for outstanding service, training and leadership. Also enjoying a decade with the Rose Festival Naval Committee. Travels to Hawaii and Fiji were very special and she held a special place in her heart for Irish ballads and Canadian Maritime music. Later hobbies included knitting and playing the organ. And Sharon was known to be an armchair quarterback to the cooking channel. Bill and Sharon spent countless hours on the road. Sight seeing, enjoying meals, camping and spending time with their precious dogs over the years.
The families wishes would be for donations to the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Cores, in the name of Sharon Wise Training Fund. Service to be held at the Forest Grove Elks Lodge, Saturday, January 25th at 1pm.
