Sharon A. Witzke

1943 - 2025

Sharon A. Witzke, age 82, passed away on Thursday, September 25, 2025, in Peoria, AZ. She was born to the late Vernon and Frances (Kannitzer) Jensen on September 8, 1943, in Seattle, WA. Sharon married James Witzke on August 26, 1988. Sharon was a long-time member at Trinity Lutheran Church, Oshkosh, WI, and current member of Mt Zion Lutheran Church, Peoria, AZ.

Sharon graduated from Ballard High School in Seattle, WA. She worked at First Wisconsin National Bank and US Bank for 28 years. She enjoyed travelling the world in retirement and especially enjoyed cruising with her beloved husband Jim. She was a kind soul, always ready to lend a hand. She was active in the women's circles at her churches and spent many years teaching Sunday School and leading Campfire Girls and 4-H groups when her daughters were growing up.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Jim; daughters, Linda Rohde of Red Granite, WI, and Tami (Ken) Madura of Peoria, AZ; stepdaughters, Erika Witzke of Columbia, MO, and Mary Annie (Scott) Oppenlander of Wylie, TX; 9 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren; as well as her brother, Michael Jenson of Seattle, WA.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Doug Rohde.

A service for Sharon will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church on October 6 at 11AM. A time of visitation will be held from 9:30AM until the time of service. A burial will take place at Peace Lutheran Cemetery.
