Sharron A. Mericle, age 80, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, at Cherry Meadows Hospice with her family by her side. She was born on March 9, 1945, in Neenah, the daughter of Lawrence and Lois (Ulrich) Dahl. Sharron was united in marriage to Gilbert Mericle on August 21, 1965, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Menasha.
Sharron loved being “Up North” at the cottage, sitting on the front porch, watching the deer, and feeding the wildlife. She cherished time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sharron is survived by her children: Vicky (Charles) Plumbley, Carrie (Larry) Smit, and Mike (Kerri) Mericle; grandchildren: Nicole, Ashley (Tyler), Payton (Alyssa), Josh, and Brooke; great grandchildren: Wesley, Palmer, Rylie, Levi, and Laynee; siblings: Rita Heinz, Diane (Dennis) Nackers, and Carla (Tom) Williamson; and a brother-in-law: Darryl Quimby.
Sharron was preceded in death by Gilbert; her parents; a granddaughter: McKenzie Lukasavage; a sister: Kathy Quimby; and a brother-in-law: Mike Heinz.
A memorial service will be held at 4PM, on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the Wichmann Funeral Home, Laemmrich Chapel, 312 Milwaukee St., Menasha. Visitation will be held on Friday at the Laemmrich Chapel from 2PM until the time of the service. Inurnment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha.
Sharron’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Cherry Meadows for their kindness, care, and compassion.
