David A. Edwards

David Albert Edwards, age 84, of Menasha, departed this life to be with Jesus on, March 3, 2026, while surrounded by family in Appleton, Wisconsin. Dave was born August 15, 1941, at his home in Parfreyville, Waupaca County, Wisconsin to the late Aubrey and Eldora (Hoppe) Edwards. In 1959, he graduated from Waupaca High School and from Oshkosh Technical School in 1961. Dave was united in marriage to Karen Morey on November 25, 1961 at Farmington Lutheran Church in Sheridan, Waupaca County. Shortly after the marriage, they moved to Menasha and for over 42 years, Dave was employed as an Autobody Mechanic with the GM dealership in Menasha. Dave and Karen have also been members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Menasha for many years. He was a member of the Robert Ritzenthaler Archaeology Society Chapter of the Wisconsin Archaeological Society as well as a member and active volunteer with Wild Ones (Native Plants & Natural Landscapes).

Dave will be missed by his loving wife of 64 years, Karen; sons: Jeff (Debbie) and Todd (Carrie Russell); grandchildren: Andrew, Elisabeth, Halden, Azalea, and Sidrah; sisters-in-law: Gretchen Edwards and Marjorie Larson; brothers-in-law: Richard (Margaret) Morey and Edward (Pamela) Morey; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Kenneth and Elmira Morey; brother, Gene Edwards; and brother-in-law, Eugene Larson.

The Funeral Service for Dave will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 300 Broad Street, Menasha, Wisconsin 54952. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until the hour of the service at the church. A private interment will take place at Little Creek Cemetery in Waupaca County at a later date.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Brewster Village and Moments Hospice for their loving and tender care given to Dave during his short stay as well as to the staff with St. Elizabeth Hospital.
