Jason Edwards Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Campbell Funeral Home - Gloucester on Mar. 5, 2026.
Gloucester, MA - Jason R. Edwards, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday March 1, 2026. He was born in Gloucester on August 2, 1969, a son of the late Edward (Eddie) H. Edwards and Marilyn L. (Pratt) Edwards.

Jason graduated from Gloucester High School. He worked as a mail courier at Gorton's in his younger years. Later he worked for many years at Ocean Crest Seafoods as a fish processor and lastly at Shaw's as a night stocker until he was no longer able to work due to illness.

Jason was always up for an adventure and he was a true outdoorsman. He was most happy spending time at his favorite place, Cape Pond, where he would enjoy fishing year-round. Some of his favorite hobbies were motorcross, target practicing and hunting. Jason had a real love for Ford Broncos. He owned several of them and enjoyed restoring and driving them. He enjoyed attending the Deerfield fair in NH, the NH Highland Games & Festival and the Patriot's Day Parade in Lexington, MA every year.

Jason will be remembered for his heart of gold and was always there to lend a hand when needed or a listening ear to all who knew him.

Jason actively supported the veterans and often donated to charities supporting the troops.

Jason is survived by his brother, Jamin (Waffle) Edwards, his sister, Rachel and her husband Frank Medros, his sister, Sheena Edwards and her partner Barry Worthley, his niece Ceriana Edwards-Worthley, his close family friend Brad Stuart, and his longtime friends John, Marty and Scott Anderson.

In keeping with Jason's wishes, services are private. Memorial contributions may be made to a veterans charity of one's choice. Arrangements by Campbell Funeral Home, 61 Middle St., Gloucester, MA. Information, directions, condolences at www.campbellfuneral.com.
