Albert Webster Olson

Albert W. Olson, Jr., 62, of Rockport, passed away on Friday, February 13th after a long and courageous battle with illness.

He was born in Beverly on October 22nd, 1963, to Albert W. and Lana (Tuomivirta) Olson, Sr. He attended Rockport High School, graduating with the Class of 1981.

Albert was a lifelong resident of Rockport Massachusetts. He was a lobsterman for 48 years in Pigeon Cove. He was a well-known fisherman and a guy who would do anything for anyone. He enjoyed his days to be spent on the water. He enjoyed blue fish tournaments. He valued his friendships with all his fellow fisherman. He loved his family and looked forward to summer visits for fishing and boating. He was always known to crack a joke, and you could always count on him to make you laugh. His boat Easy Livin was his pride and joy. His career wasn't just a job; it was something he truly loved. He will be remembered for his dedication, kind heart, and the utmost love of the ocean.

Albert is survived by his mother, Lana (Tuomivirta) Mogan of Nahant; stepmother, Patricia Olson; Brother, Scott Olson; stepsiblings, Lisa Mogan O'Keefe (Michelle); Linda Barba( Peter); Bill Mogan (John); and Cathy Ketchopulos; Niece, Jessica Olson; Nephew Steven Olson; as well as step-nieces and a step-nephew.

He was predeceased by his father, Albert W. Olson, Sr.; stepfather, Willam H Mogan; and Grandmother, Edith Brooks.
