N. Marie Luleich

N. Marie (Cunningham) Luleich, a lifelong resident of Rockport, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2025. She was born on February 13, 1941, to the late John W. Cunningham and Nora M. (Bowles) Cunningham.
A proud graduate of Rockport High School, Marie had a long and successful career in the insurance industry working at Carole Steele Insurance in Gloucester and later retired from John Walsh Insurance in Rockport after many faithful years.
Marie was well known around Rockport for her daily walks through downtown to Bearskin Neck, where she loved listening to music played by her dear friend David. She had a lifelong love of animals, especially horses and dogs, but it was children who brought the greatest joy. Her sons, her nieces and nephews, her grandchildren, and the neighborhood kids all held a special place in her heart. Marie was cherished for her gentle spirit, warm kindness, generous compliments, and the lasting friendships she built throughout her life.
A devoted and loving mother, Marie leaves behind her two sons, John Luleich and his wife Elisabeth of Rockport, MA, and David Luleich and his wife Gina of Kirbyville, MO. She was a beloved grandmother to William, Devin, Gian, Amihan, Zach, and Zoey, and a proud great-grandmother to Athena, who brought her great joy. She is also survived by her brother, John Cunningham of Albuquerque, New Mexico
Marie was predeceased by her siblings, George Cunningham, Margie Cunningham, and Esther (Cunningham) McMillan.
Marie's presence will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., and on Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., with a service beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Greely Funeral Home, 212 Washington Street, Gloucester, MA. A graveside burial will follow at Beech Grove Cemetery, Rockport, MA.
