Sharyn Renee Cortte

Sharyn Renee Rhoades Cortte, age 84, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, at Fairview Southdale Hospital in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was born on July 14, 1941, and lived her entire life in Minneapolis. Sharyn was a devoted wife, mother, stepmother, sister, daughter, and aunt.

She is survived by her husband, Myron Cortte; son, Donny Collins; stepson, Chris Cortte; stepdaughter, Libbie Collum; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Lon Rhoades; daughters, Renee Collins and Dana Koschney; and siblings, Jack Rudeen, Shirley Rudeen Schirmer, Orvis Rudeen, Eugene Rhoades, Rodney Rhoades, Manley Rhoades, Darlene Schleeter, and Marlys Klein.

Sharyn will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and the light she brought to every room. A beautician by trade and a people person by nature, she had a gift for making others feel beautiful-inside and out. For twenty years, she managed Eldorado Liquor, where she built lasting friendships and a strong sense of community.

She found joy in the simple pleasures of life-her beloved flowers, especially her hydrangeas this time of year, her cats, and the wild birds she faithfully cared for outside her townhouse. Sharyn also loved football Sundays, browsing estate sales, and discovering the perfect rug to add charm to her home.

Known for her lively personality and fun-loving spirit, Sharyn was always the one to light up the room and bring people together. Her warmth, humor, and joyful energy will be deeply missed but forever cherished by all who knew and loved her.
