Shaun "Oaf" Stumne passed away Friday, March 21, 2025 at the University of Minnesota Fairview Hospital in Minneapolis at the age 45. He left us to join his heavenly family - Grandpa Alve, Uncle Ron, Great Uncle Gary, and so many, many more.

Shaun Anthony Stumne was born June 2, 1979 to Bonnie Stumne in Robbinsdale, Minnesota. He graduated from Cooper High School in Robbinsdale.

Shaun was a loving, caring person who shall be missed by all. He loved going fishing with his Grandpa Alve and his Uncle Ron, especially when it was just the two of them.

Shaun had two children, a son Colell, and a daughter, Chaeli. He always said they were the best part of his life, and his love for them was truly unwavering.

He loved reading and was very smart because of it. He loved watching Jeopardy with his daughter Chaeli, and he would always amaze her at how many answers he would get correct. He always thought he could be a winner if he had the chance to be on Jeopardy. I, for one, believe he would have been.

He also bred American Pitbulls, and they were known for their excellent behavior. If you know Shaun and bought one of his dogs, you know what I mean. It was a testament of the man he was. Big and scary to the naked eye, but was a living gentle giant. His dogs brought him great joy and happiness.

Shaun had also started his own lawn company called the Mean Green Lawn Care Team.

Shaun was also involved with the St. Croix Valley Hells Angels, brothers from Minneapolis, and the Iron Range. He called them family and had a dream of getting a bike so he could be one of them some day. For Shaun it was an honor to support what he called the best club in the world. Shaun was always ready to help others.

He loved hosting get-togethers to watch the Super Bowl, have Halloween parties, and celebrate New Year's. He enjoyed being around people and making them happy. Some of the people he knew would tease him about being Mexican and tease him about being deported. So one Christmas he decided to ask for a DNA test as a Christmas gift just to prove them wrong. And he did just that.

Shaun is survived by his son Colell Stumne; daughter Chaeli Stumne (Jayce); mother Bonnie Stumne; aunt Michelle Stumne (John); grandmother Lu Stumne; very special brother in life Joe (JT).

He was loved by so many people who considered him to be their brother and family. Shaun will always be remembered and missed by so many. He'll be deeply missed by his family and friends, and his memory will live on in our hearts forever.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Alve Stumne; Uncle Ron Stumne.
