SHAWN ALDY

Shawn Aldy, born Coleman Shawn Brimlow, age 61, of Donalsonville, GA, passed away Monday, March 11, 2024, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, AL.

Funeral services for Mr. Aldy will be held on Friday, March 15, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Rev. Heath Houston officiating.  Interment will follow in Salem-Seminole Baptist Church Cemetery with Geron Brimlow, Raven Brimlow, Scott Brimlow, Scooter Price, Bryan Alday, and Robin Faircloth serving as active pallbearers.  Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Mr. Aldy was born in Donalsonville, GA on November 21, 1962, the son of Melvin Alday and Jackie Williams Brimlow Alday.  He was a 1980 graduate of Seminole County High School and served his country in the United States Marine Corps.  Shawn was a valued employee of Georgia Federal State Inspection Services, working seasonally each year as a peanut sample puller.  He was a history buff who loved reading and was a loving father.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Samantha Godwin and her husband Bryan of Pelham, GA; his son, Robert Brimlow of Pelham, GA; his mother, Jackie Alday of Donalsonville, GA; and his siblings, Geron Brimlow, Raven Brimlow, Scott Brimlow and his wife Opal, and Kesha Parish and her husband Ronnie all of Donalsonville, GA, Catea Houston and her husband Heath of Bremen, GA, Tod Alday and his wife Debbie of Albany, LA, and Theresa Joyce Hughes of Hammond, LA.  Also surviving are his grandchildren, Sam Godwin, Sophia Godwin, Alyssa Brimlow, Gavin Brimlow, and Nathan Brimlow; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

Mr. Aldy was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Alday, and his brothers, Ray Dane Brimlow and Lee Shannon Brimlow.
