Shawn, I've been trying to find you for the past few years. And now I've came across this and I'm shocked and saddened to say the least. Shawn had a very different style of leadership than most ncos and leaders that I dealt with in the USMC. He was knowledgeable, dependable, kind, hard working, and honest. Even though we haven't spoke since 2008, sure am going to miss him, but am glad to have the pleasure of serving with him. Rest easy bro. Semper Fi.

I remember you so well, such a nice person, and NCO. You were actually one of the most approachable Corporals I knew at the time when I first arrived at 1st MLG. Still cannot believe you're gone, it breaks my heart knowing you left us so soon. But you're in a better place physically and mentally, rest in paradise. You will never be forgotten!

I really don't know where to begin. You are a great friend and mentor. I remember the first time we met on duty thanksgiving day 2014! We had a lot of good times going down to the polo outlet trying to get fresh for the weekend! I'm really going to miss you bro! Thank you for being a good friend and always being positive
