Shawn Michael Devine

Shawn Michael Devine, a beloved husband, father, son, and friend, passed away on February 26, 2026, at the young age of 29. Born on November 18, 1996, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Shawn filled the lives of those around him with joy, laughter, and an unforgettable spirit. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Shawn was a man of many interests and passions. He had a genuine love for music and often found solace in singing along to his favorite tunes. An avid gamer, he enjoyed playing his Nintendo Switch and playing all of his favorite games, and had a love of technology in general. He enjoyed building Lego sets, and engaging in family game nights filled with Uno and Mario Party. Shawn had a unique sense of humor, often showcasing his fondness for horror and all things gore. He had a love for crime shows and WWE, which he enjoyed watching alongside his wife, Bekah. He was also proud of his "420 friendly" lifestyle and made sure everyone around him knew that.

Shawn’s family was at the heart of everything he did. He is survived by his loving wife, Bekah, and their three children, Gannon, Gunnar, and Judith, who were his pride and joy. He also leaves behind his parents, Spring (Derrick) and Harry, as well as his siblings Dakota (Steven), Nicole (Nicholas), and Lincoln. His grandmothers, Becki and Dottie, and his cherished dog, Fiona, who had been by his side since she was a puppy, will miss him dearly. Shawn is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who have been touched by his kindness and warmth.

He is proceeded in death by many loved ones ; including his bonus mother Stephanie Harris, bonus son Granger, his Grandpa Jim & his cousin Mikey. While his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, his family takes comfort in the memories of his laughter, his stories, and the legacy of love he leaves behind.

In honoring Shawn’s memory, we remember the laughter, love, and light he brought into our lives. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 925 E Hanna Ave, Indianapolis, IN, 46227. A viewing will take place from 3 PM to 6 PM, followed by a service starting at 6 PM. For those unable to attend, a live stream of the service will be available.

In lieu of flowers, due to Bekah's allergy to pollen, donations, succulents, and other gifts are welcomed. Shawn’s spirit will live on in the hearts of all who love him, and his memory will forever be cherished.
