William Paul Handlon, a cherished resident of Indianapolis, Indiana, left this world on February 26, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on March 16, 1959, in Indianapolis, he dedicated his life to both his career and his passions, leaving behind fond memories for all who knew him.
William enjoyed a fulfilling career, starting as a shoe department clerk at Macy's. His journey in retail continued as he worked for twelve years at Kroger after his retirement from Macy’s. Known for his happy disposition, he brightened the days of customers and colleagues alike with his infectious positivity.
Outside of work, William was an enthusiastic collector of comic books, finding joy and adventure within their pages. He had a particular fondness for the state fair, eagerly taking time off from work each year to immerse himself in the festivities for the entire week. Additionally, he found pleasure in visiting the casino, where he could enjoy games of chance that provided him with delightful moments.
William is survived by his beloved sister, Kathy Handlon, and his brother, Steve (Vicki) Handlon. He also held a special place in the hearts of his nephews, Chris and Jesse Handlon, who will carry forward his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jane Wolma Handlon, who undoubtedly instilled in him the values of kindness and joy that he shared with others throughout his life.
William Paul Handlon will be remembered for his cheerful spirit, love for life, and the warmth he brought to family and friends. His legacy of happiness will continue to inspire all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
