Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lind Funeral Home, Inc. on Feb. 21, 2026.
Shawn P. Gray, 69, of Sinclairville, NY, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026 at UPMC Hamot.

He was born July 8, 1956 in Erie PA, the second of seven children of the late Edwin and Joan Gloekler Gray. Shawn attended Academy High School, served in the Coast Guard from 1976 to 1980, and earned his bachelor's degree in business administration at the University of Washington.

Shawn was a route salesman for the Stroehmann Bread Co. in Jamestown for many years. He loved gardening and enjoyed the outdoors, hunting & fishing, and exploring in general. Shawn was reserved by nature, but effortlessly funny with the people he trusted.

Surviving is a daughter, Courtney (Dylan) Runge of Sinclairville; two sons, Zachary (Kali) Gray of Bristow, VA and Benjamin Gray of Cassadaga, NY; six grandchildren, Rhett, Colt and Laurel Runge, Noah and Isla Gray, and Arianna Gray; and five siblings, Edwin (Kim) Gray, Melissa (Steve) Wilson, Kathleen (Brian) Lock, Daniel (Michelle) Gray, and Joan (Roger) Willis.

Along with his parents, Edwin and Joan Gray, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leonard "Lenny" Gray.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24th in the Lind Funeral Home, with a service to be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, led by Nate Bailey, Ministry Director at Park United Methodist Church.

Memorials may be made to WNY's only community blood bank, Connect Life at connectlife.org/donate.
