Shawn William Lee, born on June 19, 2006, in Boise, Idaho, passed away on August 21, 2024, in Caldwell, Idaho. A 2024 graduate of Homedale High, Shawn was known for his poofy curly hair, signature beanie and grey sweats.
Shawn had a passion for working on cars and attending drag races alongside his dad, often finding joy in the little moments that brought them together. Shawn adored his dog, Apollo, whom he snuck into the house with his cheeky grin. He loved to scare his mom and sister, stemming from his playful and mischievous nature. His laughter and spirit were cherished by his friends, with whom he spent countless hours hanging out and creating lasting memories. Shawn also enjoyed playing with his little cousins, often engaging them with cars and tractors.
Shawn was a dedicated wrestler during his high school years, showcasing his determination and competitive spirit. His family trips to the Oregon Coast, Shoshone Falls, camping and most recently, Colorado were highlights of his youthful adventures. He cherished his family and had an unwavering love for fast cars, often dreaming of the open road.
His intuitive nature, humor and kind loving heart left a lasting impact on those who knew him. His life motto, "If you're not first, you're last" reflects his adventurous and playful spirit. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed
Shawn is predeceased by his grandmothers Darice Raeder and Janell Rodriguez. He is survived by his loving parents, Petrea Lee and Doran Lee, little sister, Ema Lee, grandfathers, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles.
Shawn will be laid to rest Friday, September 6, 2024. A public Viewing will be held at 9:00am at the Homedale High School Gymnasium, followed by the Funeral Service at 10:00am. A Graveside Service will immediately follow at the Homedale/Marsing Cemetery. The Homedale Basque Center is hosting a dinner for all those who wish to attend, following the graveside service.
