Shawn R. Slick of Woodridge, IL passed into eternal life on Tuesday, September 16th, 2025. Shawn was born in Naperville, IL.

Shawn is survived by brothers Scott (Amy) Slick of Middelton, WI and Steve (Linda) Slick of Slinger, WI. He was beloved uncle to Morgan Rae Slick (son Nick), Marin Rose Slick (son Enzo), and Leo Thomas Slick. He is also survived by his favorite cousin Katy, Aunt Linda, Sister-in-Law Cheryl, uncles, and many friends. He was preceded in death by parents Thomas and Marilee Slick, and brother Samuel Slick.

Shawn worked for several years at SPM Advertising in LaGrange, IL, where he had close colleagues. I think all who knew him would agree that his career was not of large importance to him.

Shawn was well known for his infectious smile and laugh. He always greeted loved ones with a long and embracing hug. He maintained close relationships with family and friends, and was loved by all of them. Being in Shawn's company had an ease about it, a caring feeling, and his most special talent and fondest pursuit was his kindness and love for all. Among other enjoyments in Shawn's life were the theater and musicals, adventurous traveling, his amazing talent for piano playing, and spending time with his nieces and nephew. He will be remembered by family and close friends for his ability to pick and send (via US mail) the perfect card for birthdays, anniversaries, and other notable occasions. His Christmas gift giving was always fitting, and family will remember the joyous trick-or-treating outings on Halloween. There is a large hole left in the world by Shawn's passing. May his death be a reminder to always care for yourself as much as others.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 21st, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Beidelman Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville
