Shawna Harkendorff, 41, of Falls City, NE, passed away December 3, 2025 near Auburn, NE. She was born April 13, 1984 at Little Rock, AR to Larry and Brenda (Casteel) Green.
She married Bill Harkendorff on May 1, 2004 at Falls City and they later divorced in 2022.
Shawna was raised in Little Rock and graduated from Bryant High School in 2002 and then graduated from Peru State College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, later attaining her Masters in Criminal Justice from the University of Phoenix. She worked as a dispatcher at Falls City Police Department and then as a case worker at the Tecumseh State Prison. She was currently employed at Apace in Auburn as a caregiver for special needs children and adults. Her true love was being a mother to Ace whom she adored and advocated for all his life. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.
Shawna is survived by her son, Ace of Falls City, her parents, Larry and Brenda Green of Benton, AR, brother, Larry “Bub” Green, Jr. of Benton, sister, Amy Green of Jonesboro, AR, grandfather, Pastor Howard Casteel of Annapolis, MO, Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Cousins, best friend, Emily Thompson of Falls City. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ruth Casteel, Ima Jo Trammel and L. C. Green.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM at First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor David Showalter officiating. Interment will be held on Saturday at Annapolis Cemetery at Annapolis, MO.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.
Services in Missouri will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Annapolis Church of the Nazarene in Annapolis, MO with Reverend Howard Casteel officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:00 p.m.-1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Annapolis Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home - Bryson Chapel in Pilot Knob.
