C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home-Bryson Chapel - Pilot KnobShirley Jeanette Dahlke of Pilot Knob, Missouri was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the age of 90 years old. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She was born on May 15, 1935, in Ironton, Missouri, the middle child to the late William Siebert and Stella (Roehrs) Siebert.
Jeanette was a 1953 graduate of Arcadia Valley High School. On May 15, 1953, she was untied in marriage to Donald Arthur Dahlke of Bellevue, Missouri. During her early years of marriage, she accompanied her husband while he served in the military, living in Topeka, Kansas, San Antonio, Texas, Japan and Scott Air Force Base in Illinois before settling down permanently in Pilot Knob, Missouri, after retirement. To this union were born; Donald Dahlke and wife Chris of Ashland, Missouri and David Dahlke and wife Linda of Pilot Knob, Missouri.
Jeanette began her working career with Hallmark Card Company while in Kansas, was the top sales representative for Avon while they were stationed at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois and worked for the City of Pilot Knob for 16 years after the family returned home.
Jeanette loved her family and while they were in the Air Force, would travel back to the valley as often as possible to spend time with her brother and sisters, nieces, nephews, parents and friends. She always had a kind word for all she met and was loved by all who knew her.
She found joy in life’s simple pleasures – cooking for her family, getting together with family and friends, watching Wheel of Fortune, playing cards with friends, reading and doing word search puzzles. She absolutely loved playing Connect 5 with her family.
She was a long-time member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ironton, Missouri and was active in the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML). She lived her faith through kindness, service and devotion to others.
Jeanette is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don, her sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Paul Anderson, brother Bill Siebert, brother-in-law Ron Gedge and nephew Tony Anderson.
Jeanette is survived by her two sons, their wives, four grandchildren; Meghan Potts and husband, Tyler of Herculaneum, Missouri, Morgan Gibson and husband Trenton of Columbia, Missouri, Matthew Dahlke of Richardson, Texas and Jesse Dahlke of Columbia, Missouri, and two great grandchildren; Waylon Gibson and Alden Potts. Her sisters, Mary Ann Gedge of Noblesville, Indiana and Carolyn and husband Bob Schroer of Pilot Knob, Missouri, sister-in-law, Ann Sanderlin, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Jeanette was the matriarch of her family. Her legacy of love and faith will live on in her family and friends, who will cherish her memory always. Her warmth, laughter and steadfast love will be remembered by all whose lives she touched.
