Shawna Lenelle Gimlin Phillips, 65, Fair Grove, MO. Passed away in her home on Wednesday, December 20, 2023. She was born July 23, 1958, in Branson, MO. to Marvin and Barbara (Moore) Gimlin Collins. Shawna was a member of the Fruitland Road Country Baptist Church. She attended two years of college at Southwest Missouri State University. Shawna retired in January of 2015, after working 35 years as a sales clerk at Dillons Super Market. Shawna truly had a servant's heart, there was never a person she wouldn't encourage to be better. She served on the board at OCAC Head start for three years, and she made and served food for various churches and organizations. In her spare time, Shawna loved painting, trail rides, motorcycle touring, stray kids, nieces and nephews and grand babies.
Shawna was preceded in death by her father Charles Marvin Gimlin, brother: Douglas Marvin Gimlin, her son: Christopher Craig Phillips, and her step-father: Levi Truitt Collins. On September 21, 1980, she was united in marriage to J. Dow "John" Phillips, in Kirbyville, MO. He survives her. She is also survived by her mother, Barbara Yvonne Moore Gimlin Collins, her son, John Michael Phillips and his wife, Jessica, her grandchildren: Paige Moffis, J.D. Phillips, Amanda Rainbolt and her husband, Joey, Corbyn Wilson, Brady Phillips, and Emma Phillips, Brooke, Samson, Gwen, Paige, and Caleb Arnold, Taylor, Maryah, Ryland, Camryn and Mavryk Wiseley. Three great-grandchildren: Scotty Mae, Journey Rae Ann, and Stormy Lynn. She is also survived by her brothers and their spouses: Chuck Gimlin and Missy, Dave Woody and Lesa, Sam Gimlin, Levi Collins and Hollie. Her sisters and their spouses: Ronda Turner and Rick, Glee Clubb, Ann Blair and Tim, Lana Thomas and Michael, and her nieces and nephews: Grant and Rocky Turner, Ben Gimlin, Stephanie, Tiffany and Courtney, Tyler and Amanda Gimlin, Aaron and Derek Blair, Travis and Trent Woody, Eli, Isaac, and Silas Thomas.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
