Sheila Kathleen Dunn (O'Connor), 89, of Brimfield passed away December 28, 2023, at Cedarbrook Village in Ware. Sheila was the daughter of the late James and Eva O'Connor. She was raised in Springfield and was a graduate of Cathedral High School. After graduation, she worked at Mass Mutual and retired in 1988 after 35 years as a Benefit Analyst. An avid Red Sox fan, Sheila also enjoyed Irish music, gardening, animals, baking her famous apple pies and summers at Cape Cod with family and friends. But most of all, she loved taking care of her family. She was a devoted wife of 65 years to her husband James, and was his caretaker in the years leading up to his passing in 2021. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents and her three brothers, James, Leonard and Donald. She was also predeceased by her youngest son, Martin who passed away from ALS. She leaves behind her loving son, James Dunn and wife Brenda of Monson, her daughters Sheila Mahoney and husband Paul of Monson and Laura Poole and husband Thomas of Ware, along with 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Sheila's family would like to thank Cedarbrook Village for their loving care over the past three years, along with Hospice Care that Sheila received over the past month. Calling hours for Sheila will be held on Wednesday, January 3rd from 5-7 p.m. at the Lombard Funeral Home, 3 Bridge St, Monson. The funeral service will be Thursday, January 4th at 10:00 at St Christopher's Church in Brimfield, followed by burial at Brimfield Cemetery.
