Sheila Marie Corness Gary was born in Liverpool England, 76 years old, died peacefully in her home October 28, 2022 after a courageous battle of Mesothelioma.
Sheila is survived by her children Craig Gary, Sasha Alicia Gary, Erika Boccio (Gary) and her grandchildren Najala, Christopher, Kierra, Chloe, Jasmine, Lea, Alayna, Michael, Jadah and one great grandchild Julien. Including the Corness family in Liverpool England her sister Kathleen Hailoo, brother George Corness, brother John Corness and all of her nieces and nephews, The Corness, The Grants and Hailoo. She is reunited in heaven with her father and mother John and Alice Corness, sister Pat Grant (Corness), brother Jimmy Corness, sister Maisie Corness.
Sheila was the daughter of John and Alice Corness from Old Swan Liverpool, and moved to Childwall where she grew up. She worked at Alice Elliott School for the Deaf in Childwall Liverpool as a child's assistant right after high school. She met her then husband an American Serviceman and moved to Oxfordshire where she had her first son Craig, then moved to California where she had her second child Sasha and moved once more to New Jersey and had her baby Erika.
Sheila worked at J.C. Stuart School as a teacher's assistant and Mother's Kitchen, Burlington New Jersey for many years. She was well known as a resident of Historic Burlington New Jersey where Sheila loved walking in the neighborhood, she had so many friends, she loved the local shops, she was very spiritual and she enjoyed going to Holy Light of Jesus Christ and other churches in Philadelphia that she enjoyed being a part of the community. The New London neighborhood reminded Sheila of being back in England. She loved historic Burlington.
Sheila loved going to Philadephia and Atlantic City, she loved dancing, cooking and she really enjoyed her life traveling all over the world experiencing new adventures with all of her friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sheila's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. www.stjude.org
A private service will be held by her family.
