Phil and pardun
July 2, 2025
I knew Sheila from Conant High school where we both worked.
My husband Phil Pardun and I, Joanie Pardun, attended Proviso West High with Ron and later in life I met him again at Conant along with Sheila. Sheila was kind and always had a smile for everyone. Ron and Sheila were a special kind of couple. They raised a beautiful family together. When I first started working at Conant High School, I saw a young boy cutting the grass. Immediately I thought "wow, he looks just like (I mean just like) a boy I knew from high school". I opened the window of my office and asked just for the heck of it, what´s your last name dear? He said Gummerson. I laughed and said well, my husband and I went to high school with your dad. I told him the reason I asked his name was because he looked exactly how I remembered his dad looking. Then I found out shortly after that day that Ron and Sheila also worked at Conant. Small world. Phil and I have fond memories of Ron and Sheila.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family .

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Gummerson family. Still very fond of the running days with Kevin and Brendan and seeing the parents at meets or going by the house. They leave a spectacular legacy with the great family they raised. Wishing you all comfort in the many memories.

Sending prayers and condolences to Sheila's Family. Sheila went to high school with my first cousin Chris Corbett. I knew Ron from running and coaching. Our family and the Gummerson family lived a few blocks apart on East Avenue in Oak Park. We enjoyed a great friendship "back in the day". Sheila was a wonderful and a kind friend and she certainly will be missed. May she rest in peace.

Sending my thoughts and prayers to the Gummerson family. As one of ten, I always appreciated running with your two sons from a big family and especially loved your name. You two raised incredible children and have had ripple effects on so many other children.
