Sheila Shirley Isaacs-Callendar, age 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 21st. She was
born on September 4th, 1935, in Georgetown, Guyana, to the late Eula McNeil and Clarence
Goodman.
A devoted mother and caregiver, Sheila worked as a Nurse's Aide and dedicated homemaker.
Her greatest joy and life's purpose were raising her five beloved sons-Ray, Bryant, Jerry, Trevor,
and Michael-whom she cherished deeply.
She was previously married to Bonny Isaacs, who preceded her in death.
Sheila will be remembered for her warm, generous spirit, her impeccable sense of style, and her
extraordinary talent in the kitchen. Her home was always open, and her table full of love,
laughter, and delicious meals.
Sheila leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, resilience, and devotion through her
aforementioned five sons, her goddaughter Dawn, and twelve cherished grandchildren: Nabia,
Rahmell, Michael, Danielle, Shannon, Matthew, Tristen, Shareva, George, Ella, Malila, and Elijah.
Her legacy continues to grow with four beloved great-grandchildren: Jeremiah, Anaïs, Hannah,
and Cameron.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Grace Funeral Chapels in Lauderhill, Florida. A
memorial service celebrating Sheila's life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 6th,
2025, at The Episcopal Church of the Atonement, 4401 West Oakland Park Boulevard,
