Sheila Jeffcoat Obituary

Visit the Neal Funeral Home - Cleveland website to view the full obituary.

Sheila Ann Jeffcoat, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, entered into eternal rest on November 15, 2025, at the age of 57. Born on August 27, 1968, in Cleveland, Texas, Sheila was known for her unwavering faith and devotion to her family and community.

In her 37 years of marriage to her husband, Richard Dwayne Jeffcoat Sr., Sheila exemplified the essence of partnership, sharing love, joys, and challenges side by side. Together, they nurtured a vibrant family that brings warmth and light into the world. Sheila took immense pride in her children, Trista McCreight and her husband Kenneth, Stella Castle, Tracey McLelland, Tiffany Smith, Richard Jeffcoat Jr. and his wife Lacey, and Joshua Aaron Jeffcoat and his wife Dustie. Each one of her children held a special place in her heart, a treasure she cherished deeply.

As a loving grandmother, Sheila found endless joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whose laughter and delight filled her home with happiness. Her vibrant spirit, kindness, and nurturing nature touched the lives of many. She is also survived by her dear brother, Joseph Allen Smith, and his wife Lisa, along with many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and numerous other cherished family members and friends.

Sheila had a zest for life that extended beyond her duties to her family and community. She loved visiting casinos and enjoyed playing games on her phone, finding joy in simple pleasures. Watching television and movies, particularly those starring Bruce Willis, brought her happiness, providing an escape into the world of stories. Those who knew her would often find her enjoying the tranquility of fishing or the refreshment of being on the water. She delighted in seafood, particularly shrimp and oysters, and shared many meals filled with laughter and love around the family table.

Sheila will be dearly missed, especially by her loved ones who remain, including her husband, children, grandchildren, and her only brother. Although her father, Ernest A. Smith, her mother, Shirley Ann Smith, her brothers, Rickey Smith and Earl Smith, and her grandsons, Andrew Messer and Samuel Jeffcoat preceded her in death, Sheila lived her life as a vibrant tribute to the love they instilled in her. She is remembered not only for her profound impact on her family but also for the love and warmth she radiated to friends and acquaintances alike.

The visitation for Sheila will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Solid Rock Full Gospel Church, 4903 Stuart Rd, Votaw, Texas 77376, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. An interment is to immediately follow at Solid Rock Full Gospel Church. As we gather to celebrate the life of Sheila Ann Jeffcoat, we will remember her laughter, her love, and the indelible mark she has left on all of us.
