Sheila Joe (née Davison), age 81, passed away on August 8, 2025, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born on January 15, 1944, in Memphis, Tennessee, Sheila lived a full and vibrant life marked by resilience, devotion, and a deep appreciation for the natural world. Throughout her life, Sheila held many jobs, but found particular fulfillment working in the billing department at Presbyterian. It was there that she discovered a sense of purpose and community that remained with her long after retirement. Sheila was baptized and gave her life to Jesus at a young age. She was raised in the Baptist church, where her faith took root and continued to guide her throughout her life. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Trima Joe; and her brother, Jack Michael Davison. Sheila was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Ross Joe; son, Michael Ross Joe; brothers Lex Dean Davison and Patrick Davison; and sister Judith Davison. Sheila had a deep love for the outdoors-fishing trips, time spent at the cabin, and moments surrounded by nature brought her peace and joy. Her affection for animals was evident in her lifelong bond with dogs and her spiritual connection to butterflies. To Sheila, butterflies symbolized beauty and transformation-qualities she embodied with grace. She also enjoyed making jewelry, crafting pieces that reflected both creativity and care. Known for being courageous and caring while never hesitating to speak her mind, Sheila left an impression on all who knew her. Her strength of character and love of life will be remembered fondly. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her.
