Sheila McFarland Obituary

Visit the Adams Funeral Home - Blountstown website to view the full obituary.

Sheila Peters McFarland; daughter, sister, aunt, wife and greatest of all amazing mother and an even more awesome Nana. Sheila passes on her legacy to her three sons, Roland and Richard Whitehead and Frankie Stone, as well as her only daughter Regina Ann Whitehead, her three daughter in-laws LeAnn Whitehead, Jasmine Whitehead, and Nikki Stone, as well as many cousins, all though she had no more sons.

She passes this legacy to many grandchildren she was blessed to have with her through the journey we call life; ten boys, six girls, and two great-grand boys. Sheila is preceded in death by her late husband Gerald McFarland, her mother Geneva Pitts, her father Bay Peters, and some of the greatest cousins she could have had the pleasure of being able to grow up with.

She survived her three brothers Randy Pitts (Redbird), James Allen Peters (Rabbit), and Sylvester Peters (JR). She was known to work multiple jobs from well before sunrise to well after the sun set in order to make way for her and her four children and mother who also worked most the same jobs side by side for the security of being financially stable as a family and not just a person with nothing to care for!

On behalf of the family we would like to ensure every individual in her life was no more loved than any other. She loved all the same. She was the most helpful, caring, and giving woman to have known in life. Sheila will now carry the wings of an angel as she watches over her family here, as well as dance the heavens away with the family that has been waiting for her beautiful presence again! She would have wanted all to know not to mourn but celebrate her life as she would herself, as she was the backbone for her family. She would ask for everyone she has had the pleasure of touching with her beautiful, wonderful soul to carry out her legacy!

Services to celebrate Sheila's life will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel with a time of visitation beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow in Poplar Head Cemetery near Clarksville.
