Sheila Parrish

Sheila Ann Parrish, age 87, of Manistique, Michigan, passed away on January 22, 2026, at Schoolcraft Medical Care Facility.

Sheila was born on February 14, 1938, in Manistique, Michigan, the daughter of the late Magnus and Adelina (Monette) Larsen. She was raised in the Manistique area and graduated from Manistique High School with the Class of 1956.

On February 16, 1974 Sheila married Robert Parrish, with whom she shared many years of marriage until his passing on January 2, 2017. Together they built a life centered around family, faith, and love.

Sheila was employed as a laborer and worked for Inland Lime & Stone as well as Ace Hardware. She spent the greater part of her life in Thompson and later in Manistique. A devoted member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church of Manistique, Sheila found comfort and community in her faith.

In her free time, Sheila enjoyed quilting, reading, oil painting, visiting the casino, attending church, and playing bingo. These were activities that brought her both joy and companionship.

Sheila is survived by her children; Craig (Tracei) Herro; Troy (Cassandra) Herro; Kim (Kyle) Reque; and Bobby (Rhonda) Parrish; her sister, Myrna Larsen of Green Bay; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Sheila was preceded in death by her sons, Milton Paul Herro, and Billy Parrish, siblings Leone, Raymond, June, Marlin, Milton, Camille, Marvin, and Daryl Larsen.

Visitation will be held in Manistique, at Fausett Family Funeral Homes on February 6th, with family receiving friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. and a memorial service will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Father Ben officiating.
