Sheila Pendleton-Orme

Sheila Pendleton-Orme, aged 74, passed away on December 29, 2025, in Vancouver, Washington. Born on March 18, 1951, Sheila lived a life marked by her deep spirituality and love for the natural world.

Sheila retired from the Department of Ecology, where she dedicated herself to nurturing the environment she cherished so deeply. Her commitment to nature extended into her personal life, where she found joy in tending to her flower garden and greenhouse. Sheila's love for animals was profound; she owned horses, dogs, and cats, and spent countless hours riding her horses and walking her beloved dog, Bella, at Lewisville Park.

A creative soul, Sheila also enjoyed crafting jewelry and cards, activities that allowed her to express her artistic side. Additionally, she was known for her competitive spirit, especially during dice games with her husband, Jeff, where she frequently claimed victory.

Sheila's family was central to her life. She is survived by her husband, Jeff; her brother, Michael Pendleton and his wife, Julie; and her son, Justin Heldt and his wife, Rebecca. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Eleanor Pendleton.

A celebration of life gathering for Sheila will be held at Lewisville Park to be announced at a later date. Sheila's legacy is one of love, spirit, and connection to the earth and all its creatures. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
