Sheila Elaine Smart, 71, of Coloma passed away Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, at Corewell Health Lakeland Hospital in St. Joseph.
A celebration of life service will be at 4 p.m. Friday, Dec. 19, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, with the Rev. Shannon Truelove officiating. Friends may visit with the Family beginning at 3 p.m. Friday. Private burial will take place in Fairview Cemetery in Watervliet. Memorial donations in Sheila's name may be made to Berrien County Cancer Service. Those wishing to sign Sheila's Memory Book online may do so at www.starks -menchinger.com.
Sheila was born Oct. 20, 1954, in Watervliet to J.R. and Bertha Collins. She graduated from Covert High School. On June 29, 1991, she married Eudell Smart in Covert. Sheila was employed for many years at Palisades Nuclear Plant in Covert. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping and the time spent with her loving family, especially her grandchildren and her canine companion, Lucy. Sheila was a sweet, generous and very helpful lady. She always put the needs of others before her own. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sheila is survived by her husband, Eudell; her children: Justin (Dawn) Terrell of St. Joseph, Sheila (David) Stroup of Dowagiac, Shannon (Mike) Garey of Coloma; daughters-in-law: Becki and Michelle; thirteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; two brothers: Gene (Lois) Mathis of Kalamazoo, Mich., Larry (Teresa) Collins of Coloma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son, Shane Terrell on June 1, 2023, and her siblings: Dennis, Shirley and Sherry Collins and Jimbo Mathis.

Larry, Eugene & family,
