Born: June 6, 1957, in North Bend, Oregon to Susan Ashford and Jack Lemmon
Sheila left us on February 28, 2024, at her new home in Point Blank, Texas due to delayed complications following heart surgery.
Sheila and her husband lived most of their lives in Alaska. Larry's work took them to several different communities throughout Alaska. Her favorite cities were in southeast Alaska, specifically Sitka and Ketchikan. Sheila wanted to "snow bird" somewhere warmer. After a few trips out of Alaska, she decided on Point Blank Texas is where she could be closer, and reconnect with other friends and family.
We would like to support Sheila's devoted husband Larry, her family members and exceptional friends and neighbors during this time of sorrow. I personally want to thank our close friends, Mike and Mary Huls, and John and Agie Brit, along with Sheila's devoted and loyal dog Hooch "Baby Dog". You all have been our rock throughout this difficult time. We Love you guys, THANK YOU!!!
Additionally, we graciously thank the San Jacinto sheriff's department along with the paramedic personnel who provided resuscitation efforts.
Sheila's big-hearted generosity, sharp wit were just a few highlights of her free-spirited nature that will be so missed. Her gift of gab was something many of us will never forget. She literally talked to nearly anyone within earshot and occasionally muffle to herself. We always knew her thoughts as she frequently had unfiltered chats and her one-off thoughts would literally come out of nowhere! The craziest scenarios would just freely flow often followed by a "Whoa ho" or "WTF" followed up with her nervous giggle.
She sure loved her pets, and they were an integrated part of her family and deeply cherished. Throughout the years she's raised birds, cats, and dogs. Secretly, she wanted chickens and squirrels "because they are so cute!"
Sheila was humble, loyal, and resilient throughout her life with her main ambition to always be faithful friend and a shoulder to lean on whenever needed. The strength of those shoulders will be missed by many. The void of Sheila not being with us will be felt for an extended time as she was truly one of a kind and loved by many.
