Sheila Ann Strode

Sheila Ann Strode, 58, went to be with the Lord on December 25th, 2025 at her sister's home in Crowder, Oklahoma.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the Chaney Harkins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Matt Sennett officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Sheila was born on October 8th, 1967 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Virgie Artie Edwards and Martin Phillip Windle.
She grew up in the McAlester area and graduated from McAlester High School in 1985. She started her career at Hardee's when she was sixteen which would span three decades, working her way up to management.
Sheila married the love of her life, Chuck Strode, in May 4, 1991 and they shared 33 years of marriage until his death in 2024. She loved cats, especially her three: Toby, Kate, and Ninnie. She loved spending time with her family and serving the Lord as treasurer of her church. Her sweet and caring nature will be remembered by the many lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Martin and Virgie Windle; her step mother, Jana, her father-in-law, Butch; husband: Chuck; and nephew, Kyle.
Sheila is survived by her sister, Tonya White and husband, Paul; brother, Mark Windle and wife, Mary-Kyle, nieces: Kandrath and partner, Kara, Joanna and Charli; nephews: Phillip, Weston, Chris, Hunter, and Ryan; great nieces and great nephews: Gihren, Sayla, Dylan, Paisley, Jasper, Canyon, and Emma; mother-in-law, Linda; sisters and brothers-in-law: Carla, Jackie, Jennifer, Chad, and Brent.
