Sheila Marie Wenning

Sheila Marie (Fuenfgeld) Freeman Wenning, aged 96, of Dillonvale and resident of Cottingham Retirement Center, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025. She was the devoted wife of her late second husband, Robert Wenning, as well as her first husband, the late Ralph W. Freeman. Sheila was the beloved mother to Bill (Karen) Freeman, Michael (Melody) Freeman, Sharon (the late Ken) Broenner, Angela (Steven) Gendron, the late Jim Elberfeld and stepmother to the late Robert Wenning, Jr. Grandmother of Andrew (Amy) Freeman, Anna (Nate) Davis, Tim (Liz) Freeman, Rebecca Freeman, Craig (Cherra) Broenner, Jason (Stacy) Broenner, The late Shannon Freeman, Matt (Heather) Freeman, Pete (Sara) Freeman, Amber and Ashlyn Lawhorn. She had sixteen great grandchildren.
Born on February 16, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Fuenfgeld. She is survived by her sister Anna Benedict Landers and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters Joanna, Mary, and Cecilia and her brother David.
She also leaves behind her stepdaughters Carolyn (Don) Bolton and Kathy Wenning and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sheila deeply cherished her family and maintained a strong faith throughout her life, grateful for the many blessings she received. She was a long-standing parishioner at St Saviour Catholic church participating in Bible studies, Lady's Sodality and helping with the annual festivals.
She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
