Sheila Luanne "Simerson" Williams

Sheila Luanne Williams, 78, of Longs, South Carolina, formerly of Raleigh, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. She was born August 9, 1947, in Thomasville, NC, daughter of the late, Bill Simerson, Sr. and Betty Simerson.

In addition to her parents, Sheila was preceded in death by her beloved husband of fifty-five years, Norman Williams.

She is survived by her daughter, Sherry Perkins and her husband Mark of Clayton, NC; a sister, Mitzi Davidson and her husband, Jordan of Cooleemee, NC; brother, Billy Simerson, Jr. and his wife, Karen of Tyro, NC; three grandchildren, Wesley Williams and his wife, Kate of Potsdam, NY; Brittany Broughton and her fiancé, Justin Smith of Fayetteville, NC, and Cassidy Perkins of Newton Grove, NC; as well as eleven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Sheila's life will be held at a later date in Raleigh, NC. The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Sheila's name to Asbury Church, 6612 Creedmore Road, Raleigh, NC 27613.
