Diane Elaine Jones

Diane Elaine Jones, born July 5, 1948, in Yonkers, New York, passed away on March 26, 2026, after a hard-fought battle with a rare and aggressive small cell bladder cancer.

Diane was the heart of her family-a devoted mother of seven: Bobby Miller, Tanya Donley, Michelle Miller, Christopher Jones, Candace Jones, Brenda Jones, and Kevin Jones. Her love extended across generations as a proud grandmother to Brett Lyons, Alicia Donley, and Amber Donley, and great-grandmother to Nikota Lyons. She also held a special place in her heart for her stepson Matthew Jones and his son, Gavin Jones.

She was reunited in passing with her first husband, Robert Miller, and her second husband, Raymond Jones.

Diane lived a life defined by strength, resilience, and love. As a young woman, she worked as a flight attendant, traveling the world before choosing to settle in Lubec, Maine-a place she made home while raising her family.

She was never afraid of hard work. Diane did whatever it took to provide for her children-building two homes with her own hands and taking on demanding work through every season. From tipping wreaths in the winter to clam digging, blueberry raking, and harvesting cranberry bogs, she showed her children what determination truly looked like.

No matter how hard the work, she carried on with quiet strength and purpose.

Beyond her work ethic, Diane found joy in the simple, beautiful things in life. She loved the outdoors, spent time tending to her three large gardens, and found happiness in raising her children and watching her family grow.

Diane was strong, selfless, and deeply caring-sometimes giving more of herself than she had to spare. She always cared about how others were feeling, never missing a moment to check in with those she loved. In her warm and playful way, she would often ask, "So which one of the seven dwarfs do you feel like today?"-a question that brought smiles and comfort, and perfectly reflected her loving and lighthearted spirit.

She was the kind of woman who held everything together, who gave without asking for anything in return, and who loved fiercely and unconditionally.

A private memorial will be held for the family.

Diane will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and never forgotten.

She was truly admired and deeply loved, and her legacy will live on through the family she gave everything for.
