Church Funeral Services & Crematory - WalkerSheila Wolfkill, born on March 12, 1969, in Great Bend, Kansas, passed away on March 3, 2026, in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Sheila was a dedicated nurse, having completed her nursing degree after returning to school in her 40s with the aim of providing a better life for herself and her children. Her commitment to her career reflected her work ethic; she was widely regarded as the hardest worker you could ever know, and her coworkers appreciated her contributions and the dedication she brought to her role.
Sheila was deeply loved by her children: Chelsea Rocha, Zach Rocha and his wife Mikayla Rocha, Cameren Prosser and his wife Mary Beth Prosser, and her youngest son Tyson Martinez. Her love extended to her grandchildren, whom she cared for and raised; Leila Ordoyne, Kash Wolfkill, and Major Wolfkill; to her brother Chris Wolfkill and wife, Michelle Wolfkill, sister Jackie Taylor & husband John Taylor, and sister Heather Ploutz who was by her side until the end. Sheila approached life with a smile and was known for her cheerful demeanor and willingness to enjoy every moment.
A passionate sports enthusiast, Sheila found joy in watching a variety of sports, including KU basketball, KC Chiefs football, and LSU football and softball. Her vibrant personality made her a cherished friend and family member to all who knew her.
Sheila is remembered not only for her professional accomplishments but also for the warmth and happiness she brought to the lives of those around her. She was preceded in death by her parents William “Bill” Wolfkill and Janice Wolfkill.
