LIMA -- Shelba Crow, 83, of Lima, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on January 21, 1940 in Spencerville to the late Willard and Doris {Gaberdiel} Sakemiller. On February 21, 1960 she married Kenneth Crow who survives in Lima.
Shelba was an LPN and worked for the TB Hospital until it closed. She also worked 20 years at the Oaks Care Center. She was best known for her love of purses and was always shopping for them.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter: Machelle "Shelly" (Kevin) Wright, grandchildren: Kyle (Kaci) Wright and Maisie (Jesse) Wright, great-grandchildren: Brendyn and Madelynn Crates, Maverick and Blake Wright, and one on the way.
Her family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 3-7 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at the funeral home. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service from 10-11 a.m. Burial will follow at Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.

I am truly saddened to hear of Shelby's passing. She was one of the first people I met at Oaks Care Center in Lima when I first moved to Lima. She was always so nice to me. She enjoyed her purses. I never forgot her kindness. She will be missed by me.
